I really should post more but with everything going on around here in the last couple of months the last thing I wanted to do was post.

Daughters oral surgery to remove 10 teeth, exposure and bracket put on her tooth, brace on the top 5 teeth, spacers on bottom, ken's car accident, Kens mini stroke..my neuropathy, creative escape, the list goes on...

The color is really better IRL..I like how they turned out and can't wait to see what I get back!

Playing w/ Ink

I was trying to do Tim Holtz's technique with alcohol ink and canned air, but my canned air was a "pump up" Tupperware sprayer, well, it didn't work!

Since I had already dropped some ink on the card stock I thought I would just continue on and see what happened.

This is the result, basically dropped alcohol ink drops on glossy card stock and poured alcohol ink blending solution on it until it "ran"..what a mess..but it was an experiment..LOL

I stamped on it with Tim's new stamps from Micheal's....I put stickles on the birds crown..
Excuse the "whitish" spot on the left of the bird ..glare I guess.

Busy New Year..

Well, this year has been off to a busy start..

Putting away Christmas decorations, keeping kids entertained on winter break and then my hubby ending up in the hospital ER with chest pain, dizziness, sweating, shortness of breath..they admitted him and he ended up staying 3 day, after running ever test under the sun, MRI, EKG's(numerous) blood draws(numerous), xrays, echocardiogram, ultrasound of his neck, chest xrays, stress test, they sent him home...they have no clue what is wrong with him!

Well, that was the 9th, here it is a couple of weeks later and he is just NOW starting to feel a little better, I am still driving him to all of his appts and to work and back these last few days, but it is utterly exhausting and stressful when a loved one is sick and you can't help them.

I am glad he is starting to get better..here's hoping he recovers fully soon.

My daughter Arianna participated yesterday in her schools spelling bee with the top 2 spellers from each 4Th, 5Th and 6Th grade class. She did amazingly well and I was oh so proud of her. She made it to the top 2 spots and ended up 1st runner up!

I am so very proud of her, words cannot express.

Today she came home with this great trophy...

Great Job Arianna! I am so very proud of you! Keep up the great work!

I know very bad blogger, but I will attempt to catch up on my goings on...

Halloween was FAB...said to see the decorations come down which stayed up until mid November LOL

I went to the 7 Gypsies retailer event on November 7th with Shermala, it was fun, didn't finish any of the projects..surprise surprise...

Shermala was VERY sick which in turn got me VERY sick, I was sick for almost 3 weeks!

My hubby had his shoulder surgery (torn rotater cuff-85%) last Wednesday and is at work today!
He is stronger than I am, I had the same surgery and didn't get out of the chair for a couple of weeks!.

Today is my Sasha dogs bday, shes 3, I remember when I brought her home, so very thin and tiny, now moose ville...LOL

I am looking forward to cooking a great Thanksgiving meal.....I make a MEAN turkey....

Well I am home from our Fab vacation to the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH!
You guessed it Costco! LOL just kidding Disneyland. We left at o'dark 30 and dropped the dogs off at the border and headed over to So cali to see the mouse!

We arrived about 2pm checked in and headed over to see dland decorated for Halloween, I have never been there when it was decorated so it was nice to see...

This is a lovely collage of our trip, so many great pics to trake, stayed for 4 days and boy are my feet killing me!

We did the trick or treat party at CA adventure friday night and after about an hour arianna started to feel sick so we went back to the hotel.

All in all a great trip.
So happy Halloween all.....It's my favorite holiday of the year!

Almost

Almost, almost...almost done with the calendar kits for Miss Heidi, almost ready to leave for vacation, almost ready to relax. So very close.....

I am not feeling overly excited about going on our trip I was looking forward to it, but now, not so much. Who knows it may change once I get there. My back is bugging me a bit and no time for chiropractor until Tuesday (which can't come soon enough)

Wondering why I can't find the strength to follow my eating plan and get this weight off..my blood pressure is creeping back up, and I am starting to get headaches again.

I get a "fill" in my band again on the 15Th maybe that will help, have been trying to walk daily on the treadmill, do good for a few days then life happens and it falls to the wayside :(

I know "beating" myself up doesn't help anything, I should consider it a lesson learned and move on, or better yet, figure out the underlying reason I sabotages myself.

Sasha the dog has been bitten below the eye tonight while she was on the couch, I gave her beneadryl, and I hope the swelling goes down, otherwise it is going to be a vet visit in the am, dang dog...

I want to decorate for Halloween more, but I have been so busy with kits and getting prepped for the trip that I may not get it all out until after the 16th..I knew I should of put it out in Sept..LOL

Off to eat some fruit, I am feeling like I need to eat...(at least it's not the chocolate cake sitting on the counter-don't ask!)

A Clean Room

We have organization!
I have spent the entire week off and on re-organizing my room, I have A LOT of projects to get done for people but my room was such a mess, I couldn't find half of what I needed and forget having room to work on it!

So h ere are the pics of the clean room...the views are from by the door around and back out..

Now I get to "mess" it up again..LOL

Creative Escape happened in Sept (the first week) It was so great to hang out my my friends Shermala and Donna, I didn't get all the projects done, but hopefully now that my room is clean I will :)
I was sad to see Shermala go as always but I know I will see her soon in November for the 7Gypsies Retailer Event..classes and a trip home through San Diego!

Donna is coming to scrap this Tuesday hopefully I will get oodles done.
I have a lot of stuff I need to post in my etsy shop but I need more time in the day...

Workin on a lot of personal stuff and making great strides.....

Bought a new car (used but new to me)
This is her..she is a 07 Dodge Magnum and she is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L....rides like a dream

bought her a week ago, and all is well, got her some new seat covers because leather in az=HOTTTT!!! so my bum thanks me ;)

I am truly blessed in my life....

You know people come up to me and say why haven't you updated your blog, want to know why? Cuz my life is B-O-R-I-N-G...how many times can I say today I kitted so and sos kits, took classes at SBE or drove the kid around to endless summer things to keep her from being bored.

I would say that blogging about that is BORING..wouldn't you?

So here is what the happenings have been, kitting, taking classes and running the kid around LOL told you, same ol same ol...

My dog hurt his foot last week, he has doggy "arf"thritis, and is taking meds and feeling better, they last night he tore the pad on the bottom of his other foot, back to the vet in about 10 minutes...I did sign up for this event in November with Shermala..http://www.sevengypsies.com/events.html Love Love LOVE 7 Gypsies stuff so I think this will be a hoot, and in Manhatten Beach no less...what scenery!

Also in more exciting news my paypal account was somehow hacked a couple of weeks ago and they took money, numerous phone calls and anger, I think it is finally fixed..Why do people do evil things?

Also feeling a little blue, not sure why...

Gotta go take the pup to the vet..$$$$$$$$$$ dang dog too bad I luv him!

Well it has been a week since I have taken my trip and still don't feel particularly well, but good enough I guess to post about my trip to St Louis for Scrap St. Louis.

First off those of you who know me know that I have never flown and this was my first ever flight(UGH!) Got to the airport at 0'dark 30 and proceeded to make my way down ENDLESS walkways to security for so west, did what everyone else did, put my shoes, purse carry-on in the gray bins and then it happened...security to lane 1, and they pulled me aside.....they were interested in the CPAP machine in my carry-on, they had me unpack it, wiped it down did some test on it and then I was free to re-pack it and head on my way-scared the crap out of me though, being pulled aside not having any clue what I had done.

Made it to my gate in a ball of nerves, tears flowed quietly a few times good thing no one could see me. Bought a water took my ativan thinking it would calm me like it did after I booked my ticket.

I had to wait about an hour for the plane to board and the ativan still wasn't helping much, bought a starbucks but end up throwing it away, my stomach was trashed!

Then the boarding process started, I was A33 so only about 10 people boarded before me, so I was able to get an aisle seat AWAY from the window, I promptly closed the window!
Flight was pretty sparse, had my own row, next closest person was a couple aisles up.

Then the take on, NOT liking that so much, holy **&% seemed like we went straight up and his turn was way sharp, I thought for sure I was going to heave, and of course more tears and silent hysteria.

I was freakin out the turbulence was pretty bad, seat belt signs were on the whole time, when the flight attendant came around with drinks she saw I was upset and came and set with me and I told her it was my first flight, she apologized for the rough flight, said it wasn't normally that bad and then she explained all the noises I would be hearing (wheels coming down, engine changing, etc) and calmed me quite a bit, but I still was a wreck! It was very nice of her to help me.

Then the landing...smoother MUCH smoother than the take-off and I was glad to be on the ground, 2 hours of torture finished....

We got there 30 minutes early so Shermala wasn't there yet, but was on her way.
She picked me up at we were on our way to St Louis...a 4 hour drive which took about 6 after we stopped at Michaels, got gas, had lunch..you get the idea..LOL

We arrived at the Holiday Inn in St Louis where the event was being held and it was HOT..and not hot like here but STICKY ICKY HOT..I will take the dry heat any day!

We received our breakfast coupons, scrap bag and class schedule for the weekend and went to our room to take a quick break before the event started.

We went and had dinner after the opening event and can I just say how great the hotel food was, it was better than some restaurants I have eaten at, gained 5 lbs in 3 days..yes that good!

Our first "class" of the day Saturday was make-n-takes by different stores and companies, crop paper scissors, fiskars, K and Co, and others..made a fathers day project, custom name tag, butterfly mini book, card, seaside mini album, got to see some new product coming out by Fiskars (HUGE punches) I went pretty fast only 25 to a group so time wasn't an issue at all.

then on to class I can't remember the particular order now (none of the classes were mind blowing) but the projects didn't get completed so I have NO photos, if they ever get finished it will be a small miracle, I still haven't finished projects from the first Creative Escape!

We had a class sponsored by 7 Gypsies taught by their local scrapbook store teacher, Tracy Neihaus by K and Co, the owners of Clearly Scraps (we did a mickey acrylic book) Lance from Rusty Pickle always a hoot, Heidi Grace(what a disappointment-although the product was nice)
Joey Otlo from Bazzill, and Danielle Johnson from Creative Imaginations.

It was great to see Shermala which was my main reason for going, she's doing well, and thanks for asking!

At the event I heard my first Tornado sirens-turns out it was EXTREMELY close, across the street as a matter of fact-talk about a traumatizing weekend!

Then the ride back to the airport, I visited my first Archivers...nice store, I am kinda glad we don't have those here, I would be way broke!

I bought enough stuff to have to check my bag cuz it was dang heavy, another new experience which Shermala helped me with, she filled out the tags for my suitcases and helped me up to security and sent me on my way, of course fear kicked in again and more tears and anxiety..

My flight showed on time, but weather was awful. then it happened it was delayed by 30 minutes, more time for anxiety to build, talked to a couple of people in the terminal which helped distract me.

Then boarding time we got on, lightening all around drove out to the tar mack and then the announcement..weather...blah blah blah...we are going to sit out here on the plane..blah blah 30 minutes..blah..you get the idea so after 1 1/2 hours in the plane on the ground we took off..this guy was a little better on his take off not so steep, smooth and his turns barely noticeable...still kinda freaked, but better than the going there trip. Once we got above the storm, it was relatively smooth and we detoured around the storm took almost 4 hours to get home. How,ever this guys landing was rough, maybe the 2 pilots ought to get together and take notes!

Hubby was waiting to pick me up with my daughter, it was good to be going home.

I think I seriously would of rented a car and driven home had it not been for the fact that I had had Lesli's class kits to do Sunday night for her classes on Mon, Tues, Wed and Thur!

Not sure if I will fly again anytime soon, but the experience is one for my book of fears to tackle....

A WHOLE BUNCH OF STUFF!!

This is gonna be a LOOONGG one...

On Saturday the 24th of May I got to attend 3 great classes with Tim Holtz!!

The first class was words and windows, we got to paint on prima transparencies with alcohol inks, it was so awesome.

The next class was a canvas journal which we stitched by hand (the binding that is) and played with wax, and paints..so cool

then we did a mirror that had all kinds of cool findings and bits on it..I had an awesome awesome day!

Then my friend Shermala called to ask about my class and ended talking me into going to scrap St Louis on June 5th , but one slight problem, I would have to FLY!! no big you say, but I have NEVER EVER flown before, I am giving myself anxiety just typing this! I bought a ticket and will be heading out in the am on the 5th....here's hoping I don't freak out!

Well Hello Stranger!

I figured I would update my blog, due to some gentle nudging ...hi robin!

Well the reason I don't blog for long periods of time is that there is NOTHING interesting going on...same ol same ol..

example of same ol-working on kits, cropping on fridays, taking classes at sbe, vegging (being lazy) neglecting my piles of dirty laundry, and mounting housework!

I did crop for the first time this past Saturday at i-scrap in Scottsdale, I cropped with robin, and Denise and some of their work friends. I got a few things done.

This coming week, more of the same, classes at sbe, working on kits, and more veggin'

I will say that Thursday is Ariana's last day of 4Th grade, what will summer bring (one clue-HEADACHE)
I hope I can keep her from getting to bored...

Big excitement this coming Saturday TIM HOLTZ is teaching at sbe, and yes I will be there for all 3 classes..he's kinda my scrappin idol, plus he's cute!

I really need to start a walking regimen, but the treadmill is soooo boring and it is too dang hot outside, what is up with today's 108? I HATE summer time, hate it!

It is the LAST day of April, where the heck did this month go? I blinked and then it was gone.

I joined Weight Watchers last saturday to help up the points so my body would get with it and start losing again, I had a fill of .5 cc's almost 10 days ago, still not at my "sweet spot" but definetly feel it when I don't eat slowly and chew well...this thing has quite the learning curve.

On the 5th I go for my second fill, not sure I want to much added, they kinda sneak up on ya.

Did Jennifers kits and Jamies this week, awesome projects!

Other than that, nothing to terribly exciting.

A Whirlwind Few Days!!

Well, I think I can finally catch my breath!

It started Tuesday on My birthday, my BFF Let came to my house and we scrapped and had a fab sushi lunch!

It was awesome to hang out and celebrate my day ;)

Then Thursday eve my gal pal Shermala from Kansas came down to visit for the convention. I picked her up about 10 pm or so and we stayed up LATE and visited and then hit the hay for the convention the next day. We got up early drove to the convention, got our tickets and got in line for the early entry vendor fair.

Wasn't too impressed with the goods offered except for the dollar scrapbooking booth, did some damage there ;)

Had a couple of classes and acrylic one that was way to simple and not worth the price, didn't learn anything.

2nd was a card class put on by Devine Memories, the cards were very cute.

3rd class was a princess acrylic album, better class..but the instructor grated on my nerves!

I did learn a few interesting tidbits.

Good news was that I won a $15.00 gift certificate for a vendor at the convention from the daily drawings, I haven't won in 4 years that I have been going there.

Went to a Late nighter crop at Scrapbooks-Etc..my friend Donna was also there and brought cute name tags for my spot and some cute balloons, and an awesome tasting carro a?!! Thanks Donna! I didn't get much done, I was soooo tired!

Once again we stayed up late and got up early to head up to Payson to start the shop hop...we had TONS of fun, did some monetary damage and stopped at 7 stores all over the valley.

Then we did ANOTHER late nighter! Holy cow we were WHOOPED! WE hung out until 10:15 or so, then headed home to start the shop thing again today.

When we got back to the house Shermala had the HUGE task of trying to get her massive amount of purchases into her empty suitcase and not exceed the weight. LOL..you go girl!

She accomplished that task and then we hit 2 more stores today..LOL, and yes she bought more stuff! and she managed to get it in the suitcases...

Took her to the airport at 4:45pm and I already miss her...See you in Sept girl!

2 in 2 days

I know shocking, as I sit here drinking my protein coffee, I was thinking about the shot of me I posted yesterday, and the awesomeness that there was only 1 chin showing (without even trying to hide them) I call those NSV (non scale victories) I had a bit of a plateau when I hit 39 lbs, I skidded to a stop.

Well, the good news is that the scale is on the move again..YEAH ME!!!

so as of today I am down 44! lbs..

Back from Cali!

Well I made it safely home from my whirlwind California trip over 1000 miles and 15 hours of driving to prove to myself that I am woman hear me roar! LOL

Just kidding about that part! I have gained a new since of self confidence from this trip, I tackled the drive solo and went into several stores alone and even ate alone in a restaurant!

First stop was 2 stores in the Redlands area, unfortunately one was out of business and the other no longer a scrapbook store except for 2 paper racks..oh well, it was on the way.

My first in store shopping experience was scrapbook oasis in Irvine. Cute store, HUGE work area, found a few cute stamps and some ribbon (surprise, surprise).

Then went to a couple of other stores whose name escapes me at the moment, but I remember going to Timeless Treasures, a big store (nothing like SBE) and I noticed alot of stores on my trip sort by Theme, can I just say I HATE THAT!..impossible to find a specific paper UGH! but a couple sheets of paper here...by now its 6pm so I decide to hit a store in Dana Point off golden Lantern, can't remember name and then find a room. I stayed at the Dana Point Marina Inn, felt very comfortable there, I was raised in this area, felt kinda like coming home, here is the view from my balcony in my room of the harbor and boats, relaxing!

I think I fell asleep at like 8pm what a light weight!

I hit the shopping trail about 8 am and saw a few great stores my favorite on this trip was Ever After

I spent alot of time browsing and they had all kinds of vintage-y stuff, bought some of it too!

Hit a few more stores and then headed back up towards San Bernadino..stayed the night and hit the road home in the am and headed for home.

I stopped along the way back inland and snapped some pictures of the coastline and my new friends :) I have this thing about squirrels (don't ask!)

Here is a pic of the ride home...I was bored (nice thing to be while driving) and took a self-portrait shot ;)

In closing, It was great fun, tiring, but fun!

happenings

been super busy.

I have had a little trouble with the band with staying hydrated, I have been treated 2x's in 30 days for dehydration.

From that virus I had and all the violent coughing I swelled my band shut and was unable to keep my own salvia down, they removed the air in the band, and now I just have discomfort when I eat or drink.

Surgeon says give it a few more weeks and see....so I wait and fight to hydrate.

Good news is I am down 39 lbs! I haven't lost anything in about 10 days, I think my body is still in adjusting mode.

I am taking a CA scrapbook tour over 3 days to see what is out there, this is BIG for me the first time I have driven that far by myself and I have a phobia about going to places I have never been before so I hope I don't get major panic attacks.

It will definetly be a learning experience for me. Alot of potential growth for me in this trip.

Next week my long distance bud Shermala will be in town for our beat the heat hop shop (more info avail at www.beattheheatshop.com) and the convention, I don't think we will breathe at all until she leaves! Sounds fun though. (hi sugar)

My family is sick, cough , fevers, it sucks!

I am taking the littlest member to the doc today along with me.

I am down 30 lbs according to my scale now, I will verify when I get to the docs office..hopefully his scale agrees with mine ;)

Feeling good, better everyday...I am off another blood pressure medicine, only 2 medicines left that I take a water pill(I tend to swell in the feet, ankle area) and a bp medicine, feels good to give up all the meds!

I hope I am better before fridays late niter, I want to scrap with my buds!

A day for random posts..

Not alot going on, taking some classes at SCE and kitting some kits for Tena (cute ones)

Had follow up surgeon appt yesterday, he says my incisions are looking good, and I am finding I am getting hungrier sooner, so it is almost time for a fill, I have one scheduled for 3-31-08 I am afraid it's going to hurt, but I am a big ol baby when it comes to needles!

My new computer arrived and is in the process of being set up by my computer geek hubby :)

I have had eggs this week, can I just tell you how much I like eggs..LOL

Sasha's cancer and her nose has receeded, they go in on the 15th for follow up blood work from there Rimadyl overdose scare..dang dogs!

I got my scentsy order..YUMMY!!! I love smelling that orange dreamsicle...my hubby says it smells like sugar cookies, but either way it smells delish!

I am considering a "scrapbook store" tour of california soon, 3 days and a list of stores I would like to visit...fun..fun...

Spring break is next week, someone save me............

I am Back!

Ok, so the last almost month has been kind of a whirlwind for me, so m any emotions, so many ups and downs, that I finally have a moment to stop and reflect on the past few weeks, this is going to be a long post so if you read to the end I thank you ;)

Since my last post I have made a life change, I had weight loss surgery, I chose the lap-band procedure which is a adjustable gastric band that is placed around the top portion of your stomach to control the amount of food you can eat, it also has a port that is accessed as you lose weight to tighten the band and keep you on track, I am not going to sugar coat it, I was a very unhealthy person, deeply depressed and in a lot of physical pain. I attended the seminar regarding the procedure and decided to move forward, my insurance does not cover the procedure so I am "self-paying" I was put on a 450 calorie a day liquid diet on the 13th of feb until the 25th, the purpose of this is to shrink your liver so they can have better access to work on your stomach, during this time period I lost 11 lbs.

on monday the 25th I went to the surgery center (outpatient) at 7:30 did all the necessary pre-surgery stuff and off to the operating room I went, I awoke nauseaus and in pain!
they helped those problems, got me dressed, walked me down the hall sat me in a chair until I was more awake and then sent me home! Drinking enough water has been hard (i spent last saturday night in the er w/dehydration) but I am feeling a little better every day. Sometimes I feel weak, but It will get better and be worth it in the long run, I am up to (3) 1/4 meals per day consisiting of one of the following creamy soups, broth, sugar free jello, sugar free pudding, milk, yougurt or juice, I also get 2 protein shakes a day for nutrition. I stay on this eating plan until the 18th when I go back to regular foods.
I have lost 21 lbs now and have discontinued 1 of my blood pressure medications and had my sleep apnea machine pressure lowered..YEAH!!
My hubby has gotten me gatorade to help with the hydration issue..thanks hun!
I am doing better and healing wonderfully.
I have my follow up with the surgeon on Tuesday, and my first band adjustment scheduled for the 31st of march.
Thanks to everyone who has been there listening to my gripes and or problems, I really appreciate you all.

I read something interesting today and thought I would post it here:
I am choosing to be happy and with my health improving, I will be around alot longer :)

Industry to start my own business. We lost touch, but I often
thought about him when I made a choice about life instead of reacting
to it.

Several years later, I heard that he was involved in a serious
accident, falling some 60 feet from a communications tower.

After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, he was
released from the hospital with rods placed in his back. I saw him
about six months after the accident. When I asked him how he was, he
replied, 'If I were any better, I'd be twins...Wanna see my scars?'

I declined to see his wounds, but I did ask him what had gone through
his mind as the accident took place. 'The first thing that went
through my mind was the well-being of my soon-to-be born daughter,'
he replied. 'Then, as I lay on the ground, I remembered that I had
two choices: I could choose to live or...I could choose to die. I
chose to live.'

'Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?' I asked.

He continued, '...the paramedics were great. They kept telling me I
was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the ER and I saw
the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really
scared. In their eyes, I read 'he's a dead man'.
I knew I needed to take action.'

'What did you do?' I asked.

'Well, there was a big burly nurse shouting questions at me,' said
John. 'She asked if I was allergic to anything 'Yes, I replied.' The
doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply.

I took a deep breath and yelled, 'Gravity''

Over their laughter, I told them, 'I am choosing to live. Operate on
me as if I am alive, not dead.' He lived, thanks to the skill of his
doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude...

I learned from him that every day we have the choice to live fully.
Attitude, after all, is everything.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about
itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.' Matthew 6:34.

After all, today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

5 days, I know 5 days since I posted happy thoughts, it's not as easy as one might think to continually find happy thoughts to post about (at least not for me)

so here I go with the haps for the last 5 days..

on the 6th I talked to my friend Shermala (see I did remember..LOL) and she told me to make that my happy for the day.. ;)

on the 7th I took Heidi's class and that made me happy to see friends in class. Hi Carol :)

on the 8th I took Carols class, and created 3 magnificent pages, she is truly a marvel and makes it look easy. I also took Jamies class and those 2 things made me happy, although I think I am fighting a cold and NOT happy about that!

on the 9th I took Arianna to the kids class, she was done first as usual (hmmm wonder where she gets that?) and then home to take a nap, and that made me happy!
that night I went to the late niter and sat by Lesli and Ang, and that made me really happy!

and today..not much to make me happy today, fighting this dang cold, hungry but don't want to eat, missing my hubby so I am going to break a trend and say today I AM NOT HAPPY!

Ok I need to give 2 happy thoughts, since I missed yesterday...
1-I am happy to be done with my taxes-all filed and accepted!
2-I am happy (estatic actually) to actually be getting a refund for the first time in 10 years! (not having to pay rocks!)

Well not much else exciting going on finished Heidis kits for totally T and about 70% done with Miss Jamies (cute btw..LOTSA RIBBON!)

Have class on thursday with heidi, fri w/ carol wingert and then with jamie and then saturday is the kids class with Arianna, she LOVES it! then the late nighter Sat.

Today I am happy for my hubby Ken. This is one of my favorite pictures of him holding arianna when she was little.
He is a great dad, husband, and friend (most of the time) ;)
He is VERY supportive of my scrapbook habit (crapbooking as he calls it), he actually encourages it! It was his idea to use the master bedroom as my scrapbook oasis, he understands that most of the time I don't fell well, but he helps when he can. He gives the greatest gifts..(i.e gift cards to the most amazing store..SCE)
and he lets me sleep in the mornings, cuz he knows I need to sleep or I feel worse..he gets our daughter off to school and makes her breakfast. And this morning I had a Starbucks java chip in the fridge for when I woke up. He is funny, kind, handsome, and tolerant!

If any of you are scrapbookers who crop at stores or friends houses or retreats, you know that there are neccesities one must bring with them to said event, crop bags, die cut machines, ribbon, etc etc..(need I say more) usually this involves at LEAST 2 trips to load/unload car..my hubby being the sweet guy he is usually loads my car before departure on said nights, he sent me this video yesterday saying that this is what it was going to be before long loading my vehicle, yes I realize it's a commercial, but the overall theme is what he was referring too :)

But managed to find time to make a address book for a lady to give as a gift, I think it turned out pretty darn cute, I will DEFINITELY be making more of these to sell, thinking about making up class kits for those interested in doing there own....

that I posted..LOL I have been trying to do better but still have been lagging..
Let's see what has been happening since my last post..Denise and I went scrapping at a 12 hour crop, I ALMOST finished all of her cards, but was missing a few papers, which I have since purchased and will finish putting the finishing touches on this friday at se with the amazing hostess Jamie will be working the crop..you go girl..hey and the make and take BETTER be FAB! LOL Put in an application for employment at said store mentioned above, they said no openings now, maybe after the expansion.....Nicole finally got a J-O-B she is at orientation tonight, I should of took a picture of her when she left, this is a first for her..LOL!
Washed my car today for the first time in months...I forgot that it was red..I wanted to put my new sticker on it advertising my shop, but DOH I ordered black writing and you can't see it on my tinted windows...what an idiot, so I have to order another one in white..sometimes I wonder about my brain.

Well I was ready over my last post and realized that I forgot the most important thing!!

My 10 year wedding anniversary on the 13th of November! My hubby gave me a gift certificate to my fav store and I attempted to give him a LARGE tool box...but thanks to LOWES (NOT!!)
almost ruining the surprise 3 times telling me when it would be here on our anniversary, the day came and went with NO GIFT!! Holy Moly, what a dissapointment....But I received a phone call today and they said your order is here...BOUT friggin time....we went and picked it up and it truly is monsterous....still in the car as a matter of fact..LOL

I love you Ken...here's to many more years xoxo

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I want to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving day..take time to be with people you love and to be grateful..

I plan on a 12 hour crop with Denise on Saturday..have lotsa stuff that needs to get done, I hope I can be productive ;)

remember last post stating I was not feeling well? Good reason for it, I had 2...yes 2 ear infections and a sinus infection, so the dizziness was something else other than me being blonde....
Saw a preview showing of Fred Claus (cute) with the kiddos courtesy of Michelle (thanks again!) Sold 6 of my patchwork pumpkin kits YEAH ME!!

I have decided this one needs a home..if you are local $25.00 and this beauty can be yours!

You know I have head this headache for a couple weeks now, but it's getting worse, I have slept most of the day away, what a waste! I have finished phase 1 of Heidis ever so lovely calendar kits ;) and have decided to be ultra lazy today...SO GLAD tomorrow is monday and dr dever maybe able to ease my pain and make me semi functional again....I also am loving the new food I have been getting from My Girlfriends Kitchen, good food, low calorie(at least the ones I pick) and reasonable....if you decide to try them out let me refer you or use my name, I get bonus points ;)

Have you ever wanted to play in your scrapbook room but just been to lazy? I have been sitting in here for about 1/2 hour staring at everything, maybe not lazy just in pain :(

Arianna and her dad went to the Fall festival on friday while I was cropping and they had a great time, hubby said the haunted house was amazing and poor arianna was trembling...I am glad I didn't go, I am not one for being scared although I LOVE LOVE scaring other people and watching scary movies...go figure!

16 more days until my 10th wedding anniversary..I really need to get my hubbys gift picked up, I would say what it is but sometimes her lurks here..LOL

Anybody know of a cure for nausea, the pain is making me sick.......

Well today I was notified that I was picked for the CREATIVE ESCAPE lottery for 2008 YAHOO!! I am going to CE I am so excited I can hardly stand it, all those months of waiting now.....

Arianna had her conference straight A's, and the teacher says she has a gift for Math!
Good for her...I myself am not the greatest in math good thing her dad is!

I have tried a few of the meals from my girlfriends kitchen 2 words YUM-MY LOL
I thought the chicken lasanga was to DIE for..and no prep was even nicer ...I think I am in love!

We are having our CE crop this friday at sce, should be fun....not much else going on...

where does the time go???

I thought I had posted a couple of days ago but turns out it was more :(

Yesterday WAS AWESOME!!! Nicole and I headed to the az fairgrounds and saw DAUGHTRY..wooya...he was INCREDIBLE! We had 2nd row center seats, awesome and I think my hearing is coming back....Nicole caught his guitar pick and was so excited that she got it. For her first concert she had an incredible time. She hoped over the row of seats towards the end and he touched her hand, I thought she was going to freak out! I then touched her hand, so I touched him second hand..LOL It was nice to hang out and people watch at the fair, but I was whipped after, and my throat hurt a little and my ears rang for hours. I worked on the fab Ms. Leslis kits today and took a nap. nothing to exciting...

This week the kiddo gets out early every day due to conferences, card class on thursday serendipity on friday and cre8iv, busy busy...I am also picking up an order from my girlfriends kitchen tomorrow, I will let you know how that goes..if it is good or not.

sorry long time no blog, been cleaning up the kit mess, doing jennifers kits (cute class BTW) dealing with arianna's school troubles, a day of detention and not allowed to go back to school later in the week for a different offense until a meeting with a parent...my oh my, and I think part of my stomach problems are anxiety related, becasue after the school pronblems, I felt REALLY BAD!! the doc sent me for more tests on my tummy, he thinks gastritis..bummer, another pill to take.

Scrapped at home friday by my lonesome, deborah had to back out last minute, hubby sat in the room while I scrapped and waited anxiously for me to use my bind-it-all. It was kinda fun to play with ;)

booked all my classes for the next quarter at SCE (23 of them!) and am looking forward to each and every one.....
The lottery for creative escape opens next week, I NEVER win things like that, so do I put in for it and be dissapointed when I don't get in, or take a shot and see???
I SOOOOOOOOOOO want to go and see Shermala again and to hang with Donna..we had loads of fun this year, and I am already pysched to go.

I posted a couple more things on etsy and need to do a few more, if I get picked for CE I have to pay SOON...

maybe I need to get a part part part time job to help......LOL

Catchy title huh?

I was just thinking to myself, why when I buy something, it goes on sale the very next day? Why does the cat choose to lay in my freshly laundered clothes and get hair and dirt all over them? Why does an ulcer have to hurt so bad? Why does food you can eat with an ulcer taste so bad? How is it possible to keep a house clean on a daily basis? Why do I enjoy scrapbooking but HATE cleaning up the mess? Why does the internet choose to be a pain in the &*^$&*% when I am trying to do something?

Besides all of that randomness above, it has been a pleasant few days. Deb came over friday night, had the most scrumptoius dinner..yummm..then scrapped a few hours before she had to leave early due to sitter issues, we managed to get a few pages of our halloween book done, looking good I must say....

Today has been a lazy type day --a day of rest before the kits are unleashed...The next few days I will be CRAZY CRAZY busy with kits to do.....keeps me outta trouble I guess ;)

Dogs are getting groomed tomorrow so I will have sweet smellin pups and a chiro appt for me to start off the work week...see ya in a few days when the madness ends .....................................

I am not sure about this whole blogging thing, I really don't have that much to say, at least not that would be interesting enough for anyone to read....

I know have a new internet provider, and I am happy with it so far, at least now I can check email and the like, I never really realized how much I am on the dang thing! I actually had withdrawals the first day.

Finally unpacked all my stuff from creative escape, now all that's left is finishing the projects, if last year is an indication of my finishing lets just say that's not going to happen any time soon.

I bought somw more halloween decorations I LOVE halloween It is my most favorite, I got a 6'

Ok, I am sure I have limited time since my internet has decided it works in hit and miss (mostly miss) and I am acquiring a new provider hopefully in the next couple days.

I returned from creative escape on sunday, and can I just say that it was FABULOUS!!!

I left inspired and made some amazing new friends (shermala aka sugar) I miss her, who woulda thunk that I could meet a stranger and within 3 days become friends and feel so bad when she left, kinda like the sister I always wanted. Girl, I hope we can hook up again next year, you and Donna made this weekend lotsa fun!!

We (Me) are attempting to organize another crop with my CE friends, lets hope this one is more successful than the last..I have a feeling it will be ;)

I have some amazing projects to finish and to remember this past weekend...
I took pictures, but I am afraid to test this iffy internet...

I feel like creating some more Halloween fabulousness.....

Can I just say how much I LOVE HALLOWEEN!!!!

I am getting so ready for creative escape, hanging out and meeting new friends!

My Sasha dog tore her nail and I had to take her to the vet on sunday and they cut it back bandaged it and charged me her arm and leg! LOL ok lame attempt at humor...

She is feeling better now, back to her ol self.

Finished Angies Kits tonight for her class tomorrow, only 2 more projects for work until I leave for CE. I say bring'em on!

Plan on cleaning some more tomorrow, maybe going to michaels to pick up some things to make a SPOOKY halloween wreath, I feel like I need to create, I see spray paint, webbing spray, clothespins...oh yea you know you want to see it ;)

I finished jennifers kits for her back to school book and can I jsut sya how fab this project is, I LOVE it...I can't wait to take the class.

Well my NEW dryer was finally delivered yesterday! After all the agony of being without a dryer for 2 1/2 months due to repair after repair after repair, the sears customer service advocates took mercy on my soul and agreed to exchange my worthless no good appliance for another hopefully better running one, I have been giving it a workout yesterday and this morning, 10 YES 10 loads so far, holy moly, how to 3 people make so many dirty clothes?

I have dr appt this am and then off to the best scrapbook store in the world SCE! then back home to finish MORE laundry..fun stuff huh?

Friday is make n take day at SCE and late niter and a trip to the ribbon store in the afternoon, hubby says I need more ribbon like a hole in the head, nooooooo I don't know where he got that idea. LOL he says don't you dare buy more ribbon, but if I put it away before he gets home, he'll never know ;)

Can I just take a moment to say that SATURN SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!

I have to say first off that I have the "new" car curse, I have been bombarded (ok, maybe a slight exaggeration) with problems with new vehicles, you'd think I'd learn....

Alas I haven't. A couple of weeks ago with tooling sown sossaman near southern intersection my beloved VUE decided it would just QUIT RUNNING! I thought @*&%&$%%^$ and restarted it as I was doing 45 mph on a busy street, freaky but under control, told my hubby and he said he had never heard of that, so no biggie right? WRONGO!!! On thursday after picking up my charming little one, I had to run to deliver a flip flop album I made for Denise who had a class at SCE, proceeded to get gas since the idiot gas light was on..BTW I Hate pumping gas! Filled up across the street from sce and then headed across the street pulled into the parking lot and BAM-OOO..car shuts off...I think oh crap and attempt to restart said piece o *&^%. Nothing it just clicks...man I am ticked now! try to access famous on-star services to have them run a diagnostic and it won't work because the car has to have power to do that! not to helpful if you ask me! Finally got it started, to have it die..oh man...got it started again long enough to get onstart on the horn and the guy to tell me I have an electrical problem, really genius? I could of told you that! He offered roadside assistance and then car died...I give up, I decided to call back from my cell phone. They ended up towing it to the dealer that night, free of charge thank goodness! Friday am I call the dealer and he tells me that it needs a part they don't carry, surprise surprise...they said it would be ready monday and to leave it until then. ok I said, now what do do without a vehicle? My friend Let said they should give you a rental since it is a warranty, so I called back and he said that since the vehicle was running and driveable that I din't qualify for a rental..WHAT???? you told me not 5 minutes ago, that I should leave it for safety reasons...after a phone call by him to corporate I am now driving a Mazda 6, nice car BTW I really like it, if I didn't owe so much on the vue I would definetly trade it in, but then hubby told me if you trade it in, I am NOT loading your scrapbook stuff in it, he said don't you remember why we bought the vue in the first place? you have to much crap for that car, you can't go smaller..oh yea :(

So we had our sale extravaganza on Saturday, we had a pretty steady flow all day until aboput 2:30, she decided she's doing it again next weekend since there is still SO much stuff left. Fun Fun..at least all the hard part of setting up and pricing is already done, I tell ya that about killed me, I missed my lateniter crew and my Tally girl o the night, miss em!

I hope you all had a moment of silence for me since I wasn't there ....Today was pretty lazy for me, think I am coming down with something from working so hard, over tired I guess, tomorrow my chiropractor is back from vaca5tion, I will be there first thing in the am, and in the afternoon miss Ang will be dropping off her fly kits for me to assemble for her marvelous class this week at sce..

I watched Big Bro tonight, and can I just say how HAPPY I am that Jen got nominated, she needs to go in a bad way I tell ya, she IRRITATES me in a BIG WAY! I will be JENuinely happy when she leaves..LOL I couldn't resist.

Nicole is about 90% moved out now, we head to CA on Tuesday to pick up her trust and then she moves out wednesday, she's all enrolled in school and ready to fly the coop, I just hope she's happy, thats all I want for my kids.

Well, off to bed early early start for me in the am....Aloha!

Girls Day

I decided to pick up arianna early from day camp today for a special "mom & me" trip :)

I took her for her first pedicure!

You can't really tell on her, but she picked a glitter red..she said she really liked it when they hit the bottom of her feet. She was messing around soaking in the water and kicked the cover and water sprayed all over like niagra falls, I wanted to laugh so hard, but she did a bad thing. They told her to sit still and handed me a towel ;)

She picked a lovely shade of hot pink for me...how can you say no to a sweet face?

Then we decided to hit Tarjay for school clothes shopping and ended up with this...

yea, school shopping DONE and out of the way...I also had lunch today at crackers(first time BTW) with Jamie and Gaye, Addi and Karli, it was delish and fun to visit.

Cancelled my late niter for friday nite..WHAT?!?!? you say? yes I know completely tramatic experience for me too, but we (Let and I) are having a HUGE scrapbook closeout sale on saturday morning, and friday I need to help set up and price said merchandise...

Today was VERY ordinary, managed to get the master bath and bedroom cleaned up, ruined a perfectly good shirt in the process with bleach..UGH!

Hung out with my puppies..they are so cute huh?

The part came for the dryer finally, he should be here thursday to fix it!! YEAH!

I have delivered the FAB kits for the July Love Notes Class at SCE, and I can't believe how fast time is going, we are doing a Christmas in July Class...Christmas you say ?? Exactly what I said. I can't believe its about 5 months until then. Crazy...Did a few technique cards from my 52 card class with Tena Sprenger, too bad I am still 35 cards behind..LOL SOME DAY I will finish them. I attempted to do laundry today, dryer is working still, stood there for 25 minutes resetting the error OVER and OVER and OVER until my pants were dry enough to wear..what a site I tell ya!
Nicole came back from her trip with my mom to California today, her life plans have changed AGAIN! (what a surprise..not!!) Now she was going to move to CA with her great grandmother and go to school over there...then Later tonight, she has decided to move in with her friend (rent free) and do her first semester of school here, save money(that's a whole nother subject) and then relocate to CA. Well I hope she decides soon, shes making me crazy with all the indecisiveness.

Monday, Monday.....

Woke with a stiff neck, headed to chiro and got a much needed adjustment, still really sore though, stopped by sce to see if Heidi Lynn was ready for me to kit..looks like tomorrow for sure. I am looking forward to it!

The guy came AGAIN for the dryer spent 2 seconds saying the part was bad he had and he needs to order something else and now he says the 19Th...I have been without a dryer for 3 weeks! I called Sears and asked for a new one and she told me they have to replace 4 different parts before it can be exchanged..WHAT?!?!?! needless to say I wasn't happy, but I will have to just wait.

I watched Hell's Kitchen tonight, I Love Gordon Ramsey..he cracks me up ;) I wanted to be a professional chef, but it never happened, I ended up a personal chef instead... :)

Trying to decide on what kind of new camera to get, I want to step up from the point and shoot, but I don't know much about a camera with tons of stuff on it...I am leaning towards a Nikon D40 which is like a dslr with training wheels, but the cool pix p5000 looks easier but more limited.....decisions, decisions.

After todays conquering your computer class and trying some of the things at home, I felt like this lovely cartoon! Man do I have a headache! I want to learn, but patience isn't a virtue that I posess.

Don't get me wrong, joey is a good teacher and I think I have got it, then I get home and the "blonde" thing kicks in and I forget everything, even the great handouts become foreign languages.

went to costco today to return the portable a/c unit I bought because my office is INSANELY hot, but alas it didn't function correctly and felt like satan was blowing hot air in my general direction....HAHAHA, so we proceeded to grab an industrial fan that would give a good monsoon a run for it's money......it has now cooled off in this room to 78 degrees, almost bearable until I start having more hot flashes....I even foiled the windows, now I can't see what is going on out in the real world from my "cave" LOL

Fridays late niter was alot of fun finished 3 projects...you say 3?!? you betcha you heard right..3..yes 3 and I would upload them but my camera batteries are dead and you will have to wait to see the lovely creations I have made this week ;)

Had a really good lunch yesterday at Rigatoni's yesterday too...had the lobster ravioli and all I can say is YUMMY!! had hubby's left over chicken Florentine for dinner, that also is very good.

Back to today, as I was coming home from class, I walked in the door and proceeded to KICK my scrapbook bag and I think I broke my little toe..OUCH! It is still throbbing all these hours later....

off to take some aspirin and rest my toe......ciao

Well, I decided to do some laundry yesterday, and the *&*^*^ dryer is now getting another error and burning my clothes!! This is getting ridiculous! I think I am going to scream until I get a new one!

Arianna helped with the dishes last night, she was so funny all day running around in the house in her bathing suit (we don't even have a pool!) and saying how cold it was..when it came time to do the dishes she said it was a good thing she had it on, since she was getting wet doing the dishes...so that's what I have been doing wrong all along, I should of been wearing a bathing suit..NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to scrapbook barn yesterday and bought a couple things, nothing too exciting, what I wanted they were out of anyway :(

Didn't make it to mystic paper to get my stamp, I started to feel crappy, those dang hot flashes are killing me! Getting old SUCKS!!

Did have weinerschnitzel today for lunch, so NOT on my healthy eating plan, but sometimes good chili fries make the world a happier place :)

Well, they finally fixed the dryer monday and do you think I have done laundry...NOPE!! I am not even remotely motivated to do it. so after he left monday at about 1pm, I watched tv and wound ribbon from my stash onto chipboard.

Today I decided to keep arianna home from the biys and girls club becasue she had a dentist appt at 2pm and I didn't want to drive all over gilbert in the heat to get her..go ahead call me lazy, but it was 114 today!!

Good news the girls both checked out great with NO cavities...that's great, I hate paying for fillings :(

Still have some stomach pains, went to the chiropractor, but it didn't help to much, he said to sleep on my back and stay off my sides..yea, like that will happen.

I feel like scrappin but my room is a mess and I don't want to clean and then re-mess.

Another exciting day planned for tomorrow, NOTHING! Hubby has to work and Nicole is going to hang out with friends, I might head over to mystic paper and pick up a stamp I have been wanting , and stop by scrapbook barn for the 25% off everything sale, I could do some damage...hehe... other than that just chillin with the nana-nator......isn't she cute?!?

After listening to Becky (aka b-dizzle) I decided to show her that bloggin for me was a complete waste of time...I have a very ordinary life and nothing to "write home" about. She told me that I would have to do some more intersting things then...LOL Becky you crack me up...so here's to you kid!

I can't believe it is July 1st already, where has all the time gone? My oldest turns 18 in 23 days! I can't believe I am that old!

I attended the silent auction to benefit PLAY at Scrapbooks Etc last night and won lots of pretties! See below.....ooohhh awwwww..

So they are coming to fix my dryer tomorrow so I guess I will be literally knee deep washing and drying tomorrow...can you say aaaaaahhhhhhh poor me :)
